CyclingFrequently asked questions
How do I book the stages?
The gîtes d'étape along the trails are booked directly by phone or through Gîtes de France. For the busiest GRs (GR400 Tour du Cantal in summer), book at least 2 weeks ahead.
What about bivouacking?
Bivouacking is tolerated in the regional nature parks between 7 pm and 9 am, provided you leave no trace. Avoid water catchment areas and nature reserves. No fires.
