The feel of the route
240 km of path between Le Puy-en-Velay and Saint-Gilles-du-Gard await you along the Régordane Way. A path of merchants and muleteers, a path of pilgrims heading for the tomb of Saint Gilles or the Black Virgin of Le Puy, but also an epic path, the setting for the exploits of Guillaume d'Orange freeing Nîmes from the Saracens, you will walk in the ruts worn into the rock by the repeated passing of carts, on your way to the Château de Portes or the fortified village of La Garde-Guérin, which housed the “pariers” knights, tasked with ensuring safety along the way.
