Travel in Auvergne isn't written by a Paris agency. Four local contributors, each a specialist in one département, sign the articles and pick the addresses by hand. Here's the team.

Born in Vichy, I spent my whole childhood and teenage years in the Allier. I have lived on the Clermont-Ferrand side for more than ten years. Travel in Auvergne comes from wanting a media outlet that really talks about the region, without the tourist-office tone. I write and pick the places with a few local contributors.

Born in Aurillac, former mid-mountain hiking guide. On Travel in Auvergne I look after the Cantal: Salers cattle farmers, summer burons, hikes you won't find in the guidebooks. If you pass someone with a rucksack on the Plomb du Cantal in November, it's probably me.

A pharmacist, I've lived in Vichy for fifteen years. The Allier is my patch: the Forêt de Tronçais in autumn, the Saint-Pourçain vineyards on Saturdays, the Bourbonnais castles on Sundays.
