Six cabins perched in the trees, from 6 to over 12 metres high, on a private estate near La Stèle, in La Tour-d'Auvergne, in the Sancy. You leave the car in the estate's car park and finish on foot, a few minutes' walk.
Each cabin has its own character. Nis de Bisou and Nis Dau Sapï have to be earned, by suspended walkways 20 and 30 metres long. Meïzou des Puys (up to 4 people) and Meïzou Matà (up to 6) are the family choices. The Cimes du Sancy is the only one with a private jacuzzi, on its terrace. Those three are heated, insulated and open all year: in winter, they're the ones to look at.
Comfort stays simple: dry toilets and a paraffin heater in most of the cabins, and sometimes neither running water nor electricity. Breakfast can be sent up to your cabin in a basket.
In 2026, a night starts at €165, and at €300 for the jacuzzi cabin.

Top tip
Book early for a weekend, especially the jacuzzi cabin, the first to be fully booked. The cabins with walkways and ladders are not recommended for very young children: ask the estate for the cabin suited to their age. For dinner, the estate's restaurant, Au Petit Écureuil, is a few minutes from the cabins.
Before you go
- Private, free car park near the cabins, then a few minutes' walk.
- Check-in between 16:30 and 19:00, check-out before 11:00: if you arrive after 19:00, let them know by phone. Cancelling less than 15 days before arrival costs you the whole stay.
- In 2026: a night from €165 in a perched cabin, and from €300 for the Cimes du Sancy, the cabin with a private jacuzzi (2 people). Breakfast delivered to the cabin in a basket from €12.50 per person, adult meal baskets from €25 per person.
- All the cabins are perched, from 6 to over 12 metres up. Meïzou des Puys and Meïzou Matà are reached by a staircase, with no difficulty; Nis de Bisou and Nis Dau Sapï by stairs, ladders and suspended walkways, not recommended for very young children: ask the estate for the cabin suited to their age. From the car park, allow a few minutes' walk. In winter, the access can be snowy or icy.
