Volcan'Hostel is a former Auvergne mountain farm set in Picherande, in the Sancy massif. Aude welcomes you there to what she describes as an eco-venue being built collaboratively, in the land of lakes and volcanoes.
For sleeping, there are several options: small cosy dormitories for walkers staying at the gîte d'étape (walkers' hostel), private rooms with a little chalet feel that sleep up to 6-7 people, and the venue can be booked for private events, as a group gîte.
On site, home-cooked food is prepared for you. The hostel also runs courses on wild plants: recognising them, cooking with them, using them day to day.
The GR30 passes nearby, which makes it a natural stop if you are hiking.
