Just four rooms, a restaurant and market cooking, in Saint-Victor-la-Rivière, in the Sancy massif.
In Saint-Victor-la-Rivière, the Auberge du Bougnat claims a title that sets the scene: the smallest hotel in the Massif du Sancy. Four rooms, not one more. Wood, stone, a cosy, rustic feel.
There is a restaurant on site, with traditional and market cooking. A terrace, a garden, a one-night stopover package on request, if possible. Free WiFi and parking, and a bike store for stowing your steeds.
As for the setting, you are right in the Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne. Besse and Murol about ten minutes away, Super Besse about twenty, then Lac Chambon, Saint-Nectaire and Le Mont-Dore close behind. Plenty to get you onto the local trails as soon as you wake.
Here, the home cooking has been awarded the title of Maître Restaurateur, and the inn welcomes guests all year round.
