B&B rooms at Les Prés de Nards, in Salers (Cantal), five minutes' walk from the historic centre. Jean-Claude and his family welcome you into their home, set in a peaceful spot on a 2-hectare property, with views of Salers and the Puy Violent.
Five rooms for two, each with a private shower room and WC, and no TV, which is deliberate. Breakfast is included: pastries, traditional bread, local yoghurts, Cantal or Salers cheese. In 2026, expect €100 to €130 a night for two. Free private parking on the property, 170 metres from the ramparts.

Top tip
Leave the car in the guesthouse's private car park and walk to the centre of Salers in five minutes, without hunting for a space at the height of the season. In the evening, the calm of the property makes a change from the bustle of the village.
