On place Géraud Maigne, in the heart of Salers, Le P'tit Comptoir mixes a brasserie, a wine and cheese bar and a small delicatessen. On the menu: a Salers beef burger, local sausage with aligot (mashed potato stretched with cheese), bourriol (the local buckwheat pancake), boards of Cantal cheeses and charcuterie, plus dishes on the blackboard. Many dishes are homemade, and the beer is brewed 7 km away. In the glass, Auvergne wines chosen to go with the cheeses, and cocktails that change with the seasons. A terrace seating 18 in fine weather.
