Six lodges, each for two adults, with a private spa on the terrace, at Champs-sur-Tarentaine, set on 8 hectares of meadow and pond in the Parc des Volcans.
Unusual accommodation at Champs-sur-Tarentaine-Marchal, in the Cantal, a few kilometres from Lac de Lastioulles. Six adults-only lodges, for two people each, with a private spa on the terrace, open views of the meadow, the stream and the pond, and high-end equipment throughout. Breakfast included and delivered to the lodge, a back-to-nature atmosphere across 8 hectares in the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne.

Top tip
Book a long way ahead for the holidays. Spa accessible 24 hours a day. Dinner can be ordered as an option, at least 24 hours ahead: it waits for you in the lodge fridge.
