Mountain bike and electric mountain bike hire at Parc Fenestre, in La Bourboule: half-day or full-day hire, with optional GPS guidance. The qualified instructors also lead outings in the Sancy massif, by mountain bike, electric mountain bike or off-road electric scooter, and a 30-minute scooter introduction is hired separately. Junior electric mountain bike from age 10 (1.40 m), scooter from age 12. In 2026, hiring an adult electric mountain bike costs €45 a half day and €65 a full day. Helmet and gloves are provided on guided outings. 2026 season from 1 April to 30 September, by reservation, with staff at Parc Fenestre every day in July-August, weather permitting.

Top tip
Everything is by reservation, preferably by phone. Ask for the electric scooter outing on the Charlannes plateau, a half day from age 12: it's the Sancy Sports Nature team's favourite outing. It combines well with a day in La Bourboule.

- Go for the electric mountain bike if you're not used to the Sancy's climbs
- Plan the whole day: a half day goes quickly once you get going
- On guided outings, helmet and gloves are provided; dress in layers, the top of the massif can surprise you
