Hire of mountain bikes (with or without electric assistance), road bikes and gravel bikes, and guided mountain bike rides, at the locality of Le Chadelas, in the Forêt du Lot in Aydat (close to Lac d'Aydat). Guided rides in the Chaîne des Puys, hire by the hour, half day or day. Helmets provided, equipment checks. Allow €50 a day for an electric mountain bike, €45 for a road or gravel bike, €28 for a non-electric mountain bike. Led by local guides, with route advice. Repair workshop and sales on site, snack bar by Lac d'Aydat. Open all year: every day during the summer holidays (09:30 to 19:00), the rest of the year during school holidays or by reservation.

Top tip
In July and August, book the electric mountain bike ahead. Climbing the Puy de la Vache and the Puy de Lassolas has not been allowed since May 2026, while work is under way: ask the guides which routes are open in the Chaîne des Puys. A helmet is compulsory. Bring a water bottle and a windproof jacket.
