Our take

Three clearly distinct scenarios and a proper bar to debrief afterwards: the kind of place that turns an hour of play into a full evening. And a near-perfect rating across hundreds of reviews is no accident.

Three escape rooms in the heart of the resort, from an 1890 American train to infiltrating the Yakuza, with a bar to debrief after the game.

Escape Time Sancy is three rooms set up at La Bourboule, in the heart of the Massif du Sancy. You can choose between Le Silver Express (an American train from 1890), Le Manoir des Sœurs Aubépine (a time-travel story set in 1928) and Mission Tokyo (an infiltration of the Yakuza). Each game lasts an hour, with teams of 3 to 8 players depending on the room, and up to 10 for Mission Tokyo. Once you're out, you can carry on at Le Grenier, the venue's bar, to go back over the game with a drink. Open every day, it's a good bet for a rainy afternoon or an evening with friends. With an average of 4.9 from nearly 350 reviews, the game masters clearly know their stuff.

Why we love it

  • Three rooms: Le Silver Express, Le Manoir des Sœurs Aubépine, Mission Tokyo
  • One-hour games, from 3 to 10 players depending on the room
  • Le Grenier, a bar to debrief after the game
  • Birthday packages for children, and group / works council (CE) packages
