Volcans Vacances is a set of individual mountain chalets in Aydat, in the Puy-de-Dôme. Each chalet sleeps 5 people (6 as an option), fully equipped, with a swimming pool on site.
The big asset is the location. You are on the edge of Lac d'Aydat, billed as the largest natural lake in Auvergne. Clermont-Ferrand is about twenty kilometres away, and the Parc naturel régional des Volcans d'Auvergne (Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park) stretches all around.
Enough to fill your days without going far: hikes of all levels and, once winter comes, the ski slopes of the area. The place stays open all year round.
On site, a reception room can hold 15 to 60 people, handy if you're coming as a group.
