A chef from the area who came back to cook Auvergne at home, Michelin-starred since 2020 and awarded a Green Star in March 2026 for his eco-responsible approach, all facing the volcanoes.
Starred restaurant and hotel at the foot of Château du Broc, near Issoire: Auvergne cooking, a permaculture garden and a view of the volcanoes.
At Le Broc, next to Issoire, Origines has set up at the foot of a medieval castle. Adrien Descouls comes from Gelles, in the Combrailles. He came back to his home ground in 2018 to create his own place. A Michelin star since 2020, a Green Star since March 2026.
The restaurant describes its cooking as “telluric and riverine”. In plain terms: the land and the river. Local produce from short supply chains, the permaculture garden, no sea fish. Three menus, from 3 to 8 courses, with or without food and wine pairing. An allergy? Tell the team when you book, the menus adapt.
From the property, the view runs from the Monts du Forez to the Sancy. And if you don't want to get back on the road after dessert, 11 rooms and suites await you on site.

In 2026, lunch is served only on Friday and Saturday (12:00 to 12:45): for a midday meal, aim for the end of the week.
