A small lake with supervised swimming at La Tour-d'Auvergne, with a fitness trail and a picnic spot.
The lake at La Tour-d'Auvergne is the family swimming spot of the western Sancy: a leisure centre of more than 12 hectares, developed since 1969, with a small peaceful beach and a view of the village and Notre-Dame de Natzy. In 2026, swimming was supervised from 4 July to 31 August, from 13:00 to 19:00, with one rest day a week, on no fixed day: in season, have a look at the notice at the lifeguard post when you arrive. The site holds the 2026 Pavillon Bleu (Blue Flag), a mark of water quality and environmental standards. Around the lake: picnic area, play area, multi-sport court, fitness circuit, showers and toilets. The loop is 1.3 km, about twenty minutes on foot. The lake also holds the Tourisme & Handicap mark, for mobility, hearing and intellectual disabilities.

Top tip
Swimming is supervised only in July and August; out of season, the walk round the lake and the fitness trail are still pleasant. An ideal base for a breather between two hikes in the Massif du Sancy.
