A Belle Époque 5-star hotel in Royat, with a rooftop on the seventh floor and two restaurants, a stone's throw from the Chaîne des Puys.
In Royat, a spa town right up against Clermont-Ferrand, the Princesse Flore occupies a late 19th-century building that has kept its Belle Époque spirit. A 5-star hotel with fewer than forty rooms, all air-conditioned, at the foot of the UNESCO-listed Chaîne des Puys.
What you remember first is the 7th Flore, the lounge bar perched on the seventh floor. 200 m² of rooftop with a covered terrace, open in summer only: from 19 June to 29 August in 2026, Monday to Saturday, from 16:00 to midnight. A chance to have a drink up high.
For dining, two restaurants. La Flèche d'Argent goes gastronomic, with fresh produce from the Auvergne terroir and Mediterranean touches. Le Grand Prix does bistronomy, with a Sunday brunch.
No spa in the hotel itself, but a lift from the hotel leads straight to the Royatonic thermal leisure centre (massages, hammam, sauna). Handy if you're mainly coming to unwind.
