On rue de la Berbiziale, in the heart of Issoire, Chez Mémé goes for grandmother's recipes revisited: two dining rooms furnished with old pieces picked up second-hand, rough wooden tables, about thirty seats and a terrace. There is little choice here, but everything is fresh and homemade.
At lunchtime, Tuesday to Saturday (2026 hours): on weekdays, a menu of the day at €18.50 that changes every day, plus a suggestion of the week; on Saturday, a single menu at €25 (2026 prices). The main course arrives in its copper casserole, set down on the table. On Friday 16 October 2026, for example: sausage and lentils from Champeix, with a wholegrain mustard and cider jus.
For wine, only independent winemakers, most of them organic, and bottles from Auvergne. And on some Sundays, the restaurant serves a brunch at €30 (2026 price).
