Scène nationale (national performing arts venue) of Clermont-Ferrand, one of the main cultural venues in Auvergne. Programme of theatre, contemporary dance, music, contemporary circus, young audiences. Season from September to June, about 80 shows a year. New building opened in 2020 (architect Souto de Moura, Pritzker laureate), 2 auditoriums (about 900 and 350 seats). Affordable ticket prices. Restaurant-bar before shows. Place de Jaude is a 10-minute walk away.

Top tip
A season subscription soon brings down the price of a seat: look at the packages before buying single tickets, discount rates vary with the number of shows chosen. Restaurant-bar on site before shows. Architecture worth the detour on its own (Souto de Moura, Pritzker).
