You're at Brézet, on the outskirts of Clermont, near the motorway junctions. The city centre is ten minutes away, the airport two kilometres, with a free shuttle. Handy when you have a string of journeys.
The Novotel is a 4-star with no fuss. The rooms were renovated in 2021, with fibre WiFi and Chromecast on the TV. At the restaurant ERNEST, the chef focuses on seasonal cooking and local produce, children's menu included.
The real plus is the relaxation side: outdoor pool and solarium, jacuzzis, hammam and fitness room. You can even play a game of pétanque or ping-pong.
A good base for exploring: the volcanoes and the Puy de Dôme are half an hour away. It's a solid place, with 4.3 out of 5 from more than 2,200 reviews.
