A crêperie and grill in the Hôtel Savaron, a mansion built in 1513 (hence the name) and listed as a historic monument since 1927, a stone's throw from the cathedral, in the very heart of old Clermont. The date is carved in the mansion's courtyard, on a corbel. You eat in vaulted rooms, or outside when the weather is good.
On the plate: over thirty galettes, sweet crêpes, salads, grills (entrecôte, rump steak) and a homemade truffade (potatoes with melted cheese), with cider served by the bolée (the traditional cider bowl). In 2026, allow €7.20 to €14 for a filled galette, €14 to €17 for a grill or the truffade, and €11 for the lunch menu. The place has been going for more than forty years.
