Two churches in one: the former church of Saint-Blaise, built from the 17th century onwards, and the large Art Deco church of Notre-Dame-des-Malades, added alongside it between 1925 and 1931. It is the latter, inaugurated in July 1931, that the people of Vichy call “the Cathedral”. The interior is covered in colourful mosaics, with a golden ceiling, a central dome and statues of saints. A surprising wealth of decoration right in the spa quarter. The visit costs nothing, but the church is not open continuously: enquire with the parish before making the trip.
