The route in detail
Start from the church, head towards the chapel then take the road opposite it towards Masselèbre. Follow this little road for about 300 m.
(1) At the wooden cross, turn left and follow the dirt track. 150 m further on, at the fork, turn right to follow the Saut stream. Keep to this same track as far as a crossing.
(2) Turn right and continue on the main track to the hamlet of Masselèbre and the medieval bridge (reading table).
(3) Go round the hamlet to the right, pass the chapel and turn right again. Take the track again to pass the farm building and turn left straight away (leave the main track).
(4) At the crossing, turn left. At the road with a cross, carry straight on along the dirt track (viewpoint over the Monts du Forez). At the cross, follow the road to the right.
(5) 250 m further on, turn right again and follow the road. Pass the livestock building and continue to the D 38. Then follow the little road on your right (ignore the D 38). Skirt the sawmill and 250 m further on, at the wooden cross (point 1), turn left to return to the start by the same route as on the way out.
