The gorges of the Dore

Start from the town hall square in Tours-sur-Meymont. Cross the village, turning left at the corner of the post office, then go down to the right along a track between two walls.

(1) Turn right onto the road in front of the ferme des Sagnes (Sagnes farm). After 100 m, climb the tarmac track on the right.

(2) At the crossroads with a viewpoint, carry straight on along a track that reaches Le Cheix. Take the D225 to the left for 300 m.

(3) At the hamlet of Pissolier, turn onto the track on the right.

(4) At Laire, follow the tarmac track on the right: it crosses the hamlet. Go down to the left after 150 m. You come out, 500 m further on, onto a road that bends to the right. Take it, then carry straight on along a track to Ragnon.

(5) From Ragnon, go down to the right into the valley, then climb back up on the right. At the crossing of 4 tracks, you can make a detour off the circuit to the left to the stone bridge over the Minchoux, 400 m away. Otherwise, carry straight on along the track.

(6) At the Gouttefavier sawmill, take the track on the left to return to the town hall, the starting point.
