Before you go

• Activity: the supervised bathing area next to the Lac d'Allier (water rated “sufficient” by the ARS, the regional health agency, in 2025, the second-lowest grade) closed its 2026 season on 30 August.
• The taster session lasts 1 hour 30 and is booked in advance: allow a week, and ask the club directly for the price.
• The wetsuit is provided when the water is cold.
• Aim for sunrise on the Lac d'Allier, the light is soft there.
• Beyond the taster session, the club offers leisure rowing hire and regular classes for adults and children.
