Les Choristes (road circuit no. 26)

Did you know that Christophe Barratier's famous film “Les Choristes” was mainly shot in the sumptuous setting of the Château de Ravel? Gérard Jugnot is masterful and moving in his role as a school supervisor (a “pion”)... Those who have seen the film will still remember certain scenes: the arrival in front of the “Fond de l'Étang” gate, the fire scene, the classroom that was in fact set up in the château's stables... Of course, if you visit the château, you will inevitably be told about the film, and you will hear a few anecdotes from the shoot, but the château is also very interesting to discover, for its location, perched above the Limagne plain, as well as for some of the treasures it holds, such as the beautiful heraldic frieze that will introduce you to the history of Auvergne, so closely linked to the history of France.
