The feel of the route
This circuit has no major difficulty, as you cross the gently rolling Limagne plain, even though you do have to cross the tip of the Bas-Livradois via Sermentizon. It makes an excellent training ground at the start of the season. Although this route is not of great tourist interest, you can still discover a cheese dairy at Pont-Astier, stop in front of the lanterne des morts (lantern of the dead) at Culhat, which remains in perfect condition, admire the view of the very pretty Château de Ravel and, more generally, enjoy the many panoramas over the Chaîne des Puys. On the way back, you avoid the Courpière climb by returning through the Couzon valley, very bucolic. And if you have a little time, take the opportunity to discover the Lac d'Aubusson, right next to the circuit.
