Col des Pradeaux

Start from the car park at Col des Pradeaux, cross the D996 and take the tarmac road towards Chougoirand. At the first junction, carry straight on. At the road signed “le Suc”, continue straight ahead for 150 m and take a track climbing slightly to the left. Continue along the main D track to pass to the left of the pylon. At the next junction, take the track on the right running beside the meadow.

(1) At the junction of 4 tracks, turn right. Keep straight on all the way to the village of Chougoirand. Take the road opposite for 20 m and go down to the left on the path (view over the Ambert plain) as far as the road. Cross it and take the track opposite. At the D67, cross it and climb the track opposite. Keep straight on until you reach the tarmac track.

(2) Follow it to the right to the village of Moliachon (viewpoint over Grandrif). At the first house, take the road ahead and fork onto the one on the right to rejoin the D67. Follow it to the left for 1 km.

(3) Before a building, climb a small path on the right. 100 m further on, take the track on the left to cross the stream. At the Y-junction, continue along the track on the left to the village of Les Molettes.

(4) At the house, fork right onto the track. At the Y-junction, before the bridge, take the track climbing to the right. Keep climbing on the main track to the village of “le Suc”. Go through the village, climbing along the tarmac track. At the road, fork left and carry straight on to return to Col des Pradeaux.
