The Dore plain (circuit no. 1)

This waymarked loop, suitable for families with very young children, crosses the Lasdonnas park in Courpière before taking quiet streets in Courpière to reach the Dore plain, heading for the village of Taragnat along local roads. You then take wide tracks with no difficulty at all. Crossing the RD906 near La Sagne Basse, however, calls for the greatest care. The route then alternates a few short climbs and descents, mainly along local roads, to reach the nicely restored Tour du Maure. After the Bellime district, you reach the Fontaine Salée pond before coming back to the medieval part of the town.
