The route in detail
At Novacelles, close to the bridge, cross it and take the road (D 105) on the left that runs alongside the Dolore. Follow this road for 1 km.
(1) Take a path going down on the left in a bend, at first lined with a low wall. Continue to point 2.
(2) Go down to the left as far as the Molimard mill, then come back by the same path. Continue to the left on the path that climbs. In the woods, turn left and keep following the path. At the junction with the tarmac road, follow it to the left as far as the hamlet.
(3) At the hamlet of “Veilles” continue along the road to the next hamlet.
(4) At Fontenille continue along the path that goes down.
(5) At the crossroads (sign pointing to the village of Issandolanges and the Pont de la Roche), turn left to the river, cross the footbridge and climb back up to the village of Issandolanges (half an hour's visit). Retrace your steps to point 5, and turn left. Continue along the path that comes out at Perpillanges.
(6) At the hamlet, follow the stretch of tarmac road that climbs. At the junction with the D 105, take the path opposite climbing through the woods, and keep following it to the road.
(7) Follow this road to the right as far as the hamlet of La Friteyre. Go through it; before the exit, take the path climbing on the left. Continue along the main path towards the fir forest. Keep following this path to reach a road.
(8) At the tarmac road, turn right as far as the entrance to the hamlet of Longevie.
(9) At the entrance to the village of Longevie, take the first path on the left. Enter a forest (viewpoint over the village of St-Bonnet-le-Chastel). Keep following the main path, then at the fork, take the track on the left. At the second fork, go past the calvary (wayside cross), then return to the starting point.
