In Aurillac, the shop on avenue Jean-Baptiste Veyre occupies the former historic headquarters of Desprat Saint Verny: it is the first Maison du vin opened by the company. The family has been making wine in Auvergne for five generations, on 180 hectares of vines in the Chaîne des Puys.
On the shelves, its Auvergne wines sit alongside wines from every French region and from abroad. On the spirits side, you will find regional aperitifs and digestifs, fruit liqueurs, rums, whiskies and eaux-de-vie. A delicatessen section rounds it all off: beers, terrines, foie gras, jams.
