The feel of the route

The Ramel gorges

The Ramel rises at an altitude of 1,098 m near Queyrières in the Meygal. Near Beaux, its gorges become deep and narrow, leaving a landscape of scenic beauty. This is where a legend was born, that of the beast of the Ramel, whose cry was heard for the first time in 1959. The animal was never seen or caught... Today you can relax at the “Saut du chien”, a place where the calm feels almost like magic...

The Glavenas chapel

A former Celtic place of worship, it is an exceptional site both for its architecture and for its geographical position, which offers a panorama over the Yssingelais, the Emblavez and the Devès hills. The only surviving part of a 12th-century castle built by the lords of Glavenas, this Roman-style castle chapel is covered with a remarkable roof of lauzes (stone slabs).
