2 - Brioude, gateway to the Allier gorges

A circuit ridden by the young beginners at the VSB cycling school, the club of Romain BARDET. Relatively flat, it lets you ride peacefully all along the Allier river.

The route in detail

Start from the Centre Historique car park. Turn left, then left again at the roundabout. At the traffic-light junction, take the cycle path.

At the roundabout, cross the Nationale 102 and take the second exit towards Flageac.

Head towards Ouillandre.

Turn right at the bridge, then take the first right towards Lamothe. Continue on the RD 16 as far as the entrance to the village of Lamothe.

Then turn right to get back to Brioude, passing over the Nationale 102.
