The feel of the route
On the side of the river bank facing the medieval village, not one but two castles lie hidden in the centre of the village: the Château d'Aurec, dating from the year 1000, and also the Château du Moine-Sacristain. The latter was once the town house (hôtel particulier) of the prior's steward (Intendant) from the 15th to the 17th century. Today it is packed with objects from the past. From the camera room to the recreation of a 1920 classroom, this visit guarantees a real trip back in time!
