The feel of the route

Gouffre de la Monette: The Gouffre de la Monette (Monette chasm), near the village of Villelonge in the commune of Les Vastres, takes its name from a local legend.

One day, a woman with the sweet name of Monette is said to have fallen into the chasm with her oxen. The site, on private property, has built a fine reputation as a haven of coolness and beauty. A reputation it has earned. An intimate and surprising site, it will not leave young and old indifferent.
