The feel of the route
The village of Beaulieu
Between Lavoûte-sur-Loire and Rosières, the commune of Beaulieu reveals its very beautiful 12th-century Romanesque church, in the heart of this Emblavez village, with its apse, its capitals, its stained-glass windows and its very beautiful Black Madonna.
Beaulieu is also the base camp of great shooting champions, with its famous shooting centre, Tir Sportif Beaulieu Emblavez! Its shooting school is even ranked 2nd nationally and has seen athletes make their mark with exceptional results, such as Laurence Brize and her 4 appearances at the Olympic Games.
The Via Fluvia also passes through the commune on its way to Rosières. It is a véloroute (cycle route) linking the Loire to the Rhône. The route enters the commune by crossing the Suissesse on a 36-metre footbridge before running alongside the former La Galoche railway line.
The route in detail
Be careful on the Chiriac descent: narrow road and steep slope!
