About Toulon-sur-Allier
Toulon-sur-Allier is the Bourbonnais countryside at the southern gates of Moulins, in the Allier valley. No star monument here: people come for the nearby river, the flat paths between hedged farmland (bocage) and the banks of the Allier, and the handy position when you are exploring around Moulins without wanting to sleep in town. The surrounding Allier valley is a migration corridor well known to birdwatchers, herons and kites in particular. A quiet, useful stopover, ten minutes from the centre of Moulins and its half-timbered houses.
